If this is a persistent issue, e.g., you play to use that bass VSTi most or all of the time, then you can set this offset in the Preferences->Channels dialog.
Bass is shifted down an octave by convention, which suits the player and most VSTis, but not every VSTi.
Changing this affects the bass track.
