I'm new to BIAB, my buddy signed me up, I've been using CuBase Elements (Steinberg). I'm too new with my Mac to realize the potential pitfalls of an OS upgrade. I'm so used to just clicking with Windows through the years, this one caught me totally off guard. Elements doesn't work (primary indicator is that screen images will not render properly). This is a known issue, and the best advise Steinberg can give is "wait" (sounds like my stock broker!!!)

So I booted up BIAB this weekend, and figured out how to lay down a basic sound track - but when I go to record, I'm getting nothing. The Volume level is fine, the meter indicates sound. I've got sound output through my Tascam 2x2 interface. But when I try recording, I get nothing. I'm shelving it - undoubtedly due to this darn Mac upgrade I let myself get sucked into. In all fairness, my MacBook pro came with an OS prior to Ventura, and I accepted the Ventura upgrade, and experienced no issues. My advice - don't upgrade to Sonoma until your DAW software provider gives it a thumbs up (which I've not seen from BIAB).
