So you have "nothing anywhere"? Starting from scratch?
Well you should have the latest build of the Install Manager - confirm 1.0.75 (Help | About). I suggest that you uncheck the box "Automatically install downloaded files". That way you can do this in two steps to eliminate any confusion about what's not working. Let me know when the download's finished.

Sorry just home after being out stargazing. It failed both trying the install manager AND the manual download from this website.

It failed both trying the install manager AND the manual download from this website. What file? What is the error? If you lost your internet connection while downloading which might be what is happening, you should still be able to resume. The Install Manager supports resuming interrupted downloads. Does the file have a "Resume" button beside it?

Yes there is a resume button. We have a very stable connection here Andrew. Our download speed seldom drops below 900mbps.
wonder would a HD from yourselves work ?
The full programme IS on the HD but it just won't install

I have the hard drive you sent me with this years programme on it. It said trying to start it that it's not compatable with the mac os at the mmoment and needs an update.

Downloaded & installed build 706 into your own hard drive and it runs fine, apart from the notation that is.
