Nice song!
Thanks, David! I'll have to flog the lyricist next time I see him. Ha! Glad you enjoyed it!

Very nice rocker.

I like this in so many ways.
Nice vocals.
Guitars and the groove.
Good mix.

I'll listen again on my cans later. I want to hear this in it's full fidelity

It reminds me of Roger Mcguinns stuff on Back from Rio, and a recent tune on the net by Terry Sweet, Days of Dyanna

Pretty good rock song, love the vocals and especially the harmonies, good lyrics, well produced...nothing to complain about.
Since this is a positive song, I would have the last line of the chorus go up and not down (like at the end), but that's just a minor nit you don't have to lose sleep about.

Thanks, Guitarhacker! Let me know what you hear on your headphones. I use at least four listening environments before a "final" mix is done. Then I'll do it all over again anyway. Ha! Love everything Roger has ever done. Listened to Days of Diana. Monster tune! We truly are not worthy...

THANK YOU, B.D.! Y'know, I experimented a BUNCH with how to finish the "you" in the chorus. Decided to save the cool sounding up note "you" for the outro, just to give the listener something new, and a reason to (perhaps) listen again. I mean, if listeners stick around for 3+ minutes there should be a payoff, right? So I could have gone either way, but in the end I thought it served the song better the way you heard it. Of course, I could be wrong (again)...

This is a fantastic song.
I really liked the 60s-70s groove and styling.
Super vocals and lyrics.
IMHO - I wouldn't change a thing.

Mario, THANKS for the listen! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tune. I probably won't change a thing. But I do enjoy getting perspectives I can consider for future musical choices. Every set of ears hears something at least SLIGHTLY different. I've learned so much through this forum...

I listened again on my good buds. Nice thump but.... where's the bass? The bottom end? It can stand to come up significantly.

A good point that also makes me think about my own songs.
I don't want to derail this thread, so I opened my own here in the Songwriting forum.
Feel free to add your own thoughts!

Ron,

GOOD Listening!!! An excellent Pop sound.
A great hook/title.

Nice Pop write. (the prosody of the songs shows a good understanding of the genre)
Nice Vocals. Really well recorded. I think they ought to have more reverb and a touch of delay. That would be typical for the style/genre.
Nice BGVs, too.

SOLID tracks. Those Drums sound Great.
I very much enjoyed this.

This is Good.

Herb, THANKS for the feedback on the bottom end. Will certainly give it another listen. Which earbuds do you use? I've not had any luck with buds providing a neutral studio listening environment. But I've not gone high end yet either.

B.D., I responded to your other post on this topic. It's an interesting area without a single right answer, I think.

Good one. The session guys sound great and the drums have a nice pop.

Fine vocal and harmony ... kudos!

Those guitars set up a cool chugging rhythm that well supports the vibe.

Oh yeah, a nice lyric also.

Enjoyed it!

Thank you, Janice and Bud! So glad you enjoyed it.

I probably committed a foul by submitting two songs so close together and having two songs bouncing around with new comments at the same time. If this is a problem, I'm sorry and will do better.
