Lovely song and production.

Can't help it, but couple of twists do remind me of Radiohead smile Thank you for sharing.

Misha.
Thank you Misha for your kind words.

The Radiohead feel probably comes from the fact that I love replacing the last chord of a progression with the minor chord of the penultimate chord (if it was a major chord).
It's something Radiohead often do too. I didn't know this until someone pointed it out to me.
Needless to say, I'm now a Radiohead fan (didn't listen to any of their stuff before).

And you certainly know how to get the most out of Natalie, to make her sound like she really means every word, especially "a fool", very impressive.

Thank you, Janne, for listening and for your detailed feedback.
I really appreciate it.
And you're right, I love (and have always loved) dramatic changes in dynamics, even if it might not always be the best thing to support the song.

Thanks Dan for your kind and detailed feedback.
You're right, I put a lot of thought into the production, but every minute I spend there saves hours of mixing and/or re-arranging work, so the song wasn't actually that much work at all.
Oh, and the Bosendorfer 290 is a virtual piano (see Ivory II Grand Pianos ).
I wouldn't be worthy of playing a real Bosendorfer smile

Great production on this, B.D.
The vocal has a deadpan quality that fits well into the song.

Clever stuff.
