This looks like a fun piece of gear from one of my favorite companies.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

This does look like fun and Korg does make some great stuff. I have a Korg MPD-18 16 pad x3 layers drum pad that I have used with MIDI drums.
https://www.amazon.com/Akai-Professional-MPD18-Compact-Controller/dp/B002LNBG1Q

But with the MPS-10 listed at $999.99 USD I will keep using the drum pads or keys on my M-Audio Oxygen 61 keyboard and/or the MPD-18 and MIDI drums.

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

Looks like the 1990's to me. Is this supposed to be new? crazy

No doubt, this thing is pricey, but what is appealing to me is you use actual drum sticks; fun, engaging, expandable and less than a fifth the footprint of a full kit.

Dan, I think if you look under the hood you'll find advancements beyond 1990.
Roland also has a neat machine.

Looks like first version of the Roland SPD-SX sampling pad was release in 2003. Has gone through two major revisions since than, one in 2011 and the second 2022.
I have a number of harware gear in my closet from that era. Most of it is dead or obsolete. So I personnally don't have a positive impression of hardware stuff. Of course I am also not a drummer. So what do I know. grin

FYI - you can use drums stick on my MPD-18 also. Plus you can use any MIDI sound source.

{edit} - I should have added that you can use drum sticks on all drum pad hardware.

Actually you can use Drum stick on a lot of stuff, coffee table, kitchen counter, car dashboard, the dog, but most of those are a bad idea overall!

Pots & pans I can handle. But can drummers really hit those tiny squares?
And are they rugged enough withstand the beating?
Seems like they're designed for fingers.
