You're Driving Me Out Of Your Mind on Soundcloud
You're Driving Me Out Of Your Mind on YouTube

Four days ago I remmebered that I have a new album released today, and I never even posted all the videos to YT or all the songs to SC, let alone post them here for your feedback. So here's one from there. Your critique is always the most important part for me. I like to create, but I'm not much of a promoter.

Dave Bell, AKA Blue Attitude, played guitar and I sang and played bass.

You're Driving Me Out Of Your Mind
When we first met I was sure you're the one,
but now I know I don't know.
It could be something you said that took away the fun,
but somehow we lost that glow.
You seem to have a new license for driving me out of your mind.

There was that time we both knew we would last,
but now those mem'ries will fade.
We used to coast down love's highway,
but now you drive right passed all the plans we made.
You seem to take a free pass. Your driving me out of your mind.

There were no road signs, We had it all. We were on a roll.
We seemed to be flying.
We had a ball, and now you won't pay the toll.

We had good times, but we knew they would end.
I s'ppose we'll both move along.
Ev'rytime that I see you, I hope we'll still be friends,
and I'll hear our favorite song
You seem to've change your direction.
You're driving right out of my mind.

Marty, that’s a good hook. I like the chord choices and Dave plays a solo custom made for the tune. The bass sounds good as does the mix. Best of luck with the album release, Tom

Marty,

I've been wondering for a long time how that happened.

Quintessential Babu.
You have a way of singing with a smile in your voice - even in heartbreak.
The Marty Bass and Dave Guitar go together like ice cream and Hershey's syrup. Yummm.

Good mix.
Good music.
Look out Billboard!

I know you are a very positive thinking person, but it still always makes me smile that even negative lyrics sound positive when sung by you.
Stay that way, whatever happens smile

Oh, and yeah, I like what you and Dave did, no question, this must to be on the album!

Thank you, Peter. No question that Dave is always my favorite part of my songs. I've thrown him curves, fastballs and even sTinkers, and he always hits it out of the park.

Hi Marty,

Two days ago (I think) I listened to Give me something and now you gave me this one.
You can deliver fast, man!
And also a very good one. You know what I think of your voice and you did it again.
Dave was also very present with his marvelous solo play!
The lyrics were kind of fun, the way you described your tragic lovestory.
Luckily you found Barb...
And what a very nice video.
Enjoyed it all,

Hans

Hi Marty.
There you go, enjoying yourself again.
Well done with that title, bass and lead guitar.
Not sure if it's too much reverb or not enough volume on the vocal.
It seems a little distant.

Good one

Blues at its finest Marty. Excellent vocal and lyric. Loved Dave's guitar lines. Bass lines carried the groove song. Really well done

Marty And Dave ...

You gentlemen make some great sounds!

Everything sits exactly where it should. Dave's guitar, as always, is a perfect fit. Your vocal is a pleasure to my ears. Two extraordinary musicians making extraordinary music. What a cool listen!

Best to both of you.

Super blues groove on this! Nice lyrics and catchy hook, too. Love the twists on the traditional blues progression. Bass and guitar lines are very fine and drive the music, as they should. BiaB parts sound great and the whole song is well mixed. Another hit! Best of luck with your album!! Ron

Thanks, Brain. Most of my songs are not about me, and I need to adapt the vocal to be "that" guy. Seems I'd never make it as an actor because I keep too much of me in my charachters.

Thanks, Hans. Yeah, I remembered that I scheduled the album to be released, and realized I didn't have all the songs posted on YT yet. So I dumped the missing 4 (of which this is one) real quick. Thanks for being there with me.

Marty,
very cool vocal on a very cool song with an excellent narrative/word twist.

Dave did a fabulous job as usual.
A really well constructed and mix recording too.

There's seems to be a tiny bass hesitation, or so it seems to me, at 0.49. I noticed it becasue i always listen closely to your bass playing & tone - so I can steall an idea or seven.

Cheers

Thanks, Vic. My blood type is B positive, but the lack of quality you hear in the vocal is probably the vocalist.

Marty...man you're back in your wheelhouse...you and Dave are certainly blues masters....there is a signature sound from this one that is totally the "blues brothers" of this forum...great vocal performance also...you've put together a killer album from what I've heard on the forum...you should be able to tell from the comments how appreciated you and your music are...be prolific and keep'em coming....that's one of my writing mottos "I may not be good at this but I'm prolific"...you seem to be both!

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.

The 2026 49-PAK is loaded with other great new add-ons as well. Learn more about the 2026 49-PAK!
