Hola:
Hace poco que uso el BIAB para Windows. Decidí "introducir" mi teclado en el programa. Para ello me he comprado el cable adaptador MIDI - USB, que lo que hace es que conecta la salida MIDI de mi teclado a la entrada USB del ordenador. Puedo oír el teclado en el BIAB y como se señalan las teclas así como voy tocando. Pero el teclado se oye muy bajito. Incluso con el volumen al 127 (máximo).
¿Alguien me puede indicar qué puedo hacer?. Si grabo canciones en estas condiciones puede quedar fatal.

Hola Tomás, bienvenido al foro. Por favor proporcionanos algo mas de información. Sistema operativo, version de Band in a Box, tu placa de sonido (o si usas el audio de la placa madre) - Mencionas que "el teclado se oye muy bajito" ¿cual es su marca y modelo? esta información sería útil para determinar si es un controlador MIDI o usaste sus sonidos propios, ¿o estás usando los sonidos de algún sinte virtual como el VSC en el Band in a Box? . ¿Usas ASIO o MME? . En todo caso, si estas usando los sonidos de la tabla de ondas MIDI que trae Windows y te suenan muy bajos de volumen, lo primero que te recomendaría sería chequear en Panel de Control la configuración de dispositivos de audio y sonido y allí verificar el nivel de volumen en la pestaña "sintetizador" y de paso alli mismo verifica la salida de audio global de tu sistema o tarjeta de sonido. Si tienes implementado algun sintetizador virtual en el Band in a Box (haz clic en el icono DXi del programa para acceder al sinte) chequea sus niveles de volumen. Espero tu información, seguiremos adelante para solucionar tu problema sin duda alguna!.

Rehago mi anterior mensaje. Espero acordarme. Escribo sobre una copia de tu mensaje. En él me pedías algunos datos. Son estos:
Version de Band in a Box: 2010
Tu placa de sonido (o si usas el audio de la placa madre): REALTEK 880 es el Driver porque, efectivamente, es la de la placa base
Mencionas que "el teclado se oye muy bajito" ¿cual es su marca y modelo?: YAMAHA PSR E-323 Ypt 320
Esta información sería útil para determinar si es un controlador MIDI o usaste sus sonidos propios, ¿o estás usando los sonidos de algún sinte virtual como el VSC en el Band in a Box? . ¿Usas ASIO o MME? .
No lo sé, la verdad. Recuerda que soy muy bisoño en el asunto
En todo caso, si estas usando los sonidos de la tabla de ondas MIDI que trae W indows y te suenan muy bajos de volumen, lo primero que te recomendaría sería chequear en Panel de Control la configuración de dispositivos de audio y sonido y allí verificar el nivel de volumen en la pestaña "sintetizador" y de paso alli mismo verifica la salida de audio global de tu sistema o tarjeta de sonido: REVISADO. Todos los volúmenes al máximo
Si tienes implementado algun sintetizador virtual en el Band in a Box (haz clic en el icono DXi del programa para acceder al sinte) chequea sus niveles de volumen. CHEQUEADO Está al máximo

Hola Tomás, gracias por la información. El YAMAHA PSR E-323 Ypt 320 es un teclado con muy buenas características. Por otro lado no veo nada que pueda estar mal en tu configuración ya que reportas que los niveles de volumen están al máximo. En cuanto al teclado te voy a guiar para que me aclares lo siguiente y tengamos una apreciación correcta:
- El audio que estas escuchando proviene de tu teclado o de tu PC ?
lo pregunto porque si el audio que estas evaluando proviene de la PC y no de las conexiones de salida de tu teclado, entonces este último se descarta como causa del problema.
- ¿se presenta el problema de volumen bajo solo en lo que grabas por ti mismo con el teclado en BIAB o en todo lo demás? por ejemplo, al cargar las canciones demo que vienen con BIAB, ¿estas tienen el nivel correcto o tambien presentan bajo volumen?. Una de las maneras de cargar las canciones demo de BIAB es entrando con el boton "estilo" ubicado a la izquierda (debajo de "cancion") , una vez allí seleccionas un estilo y haces clic en "Carga Can. Demo" y "OK" para escucharla y verificar su volumen.
- De lo anterior viene esta pregunta ¿has grabado algo ya en el programa con tu Yamaha?
- ¿El volumen bajo ocurre en tiempo real? es decir, mientras tocas o grabas, ¿o también cuando reproduces lo que grabaste?
- Veo que chequeaste los niveles de volumen del sintetizador virtual en DXi, eso significa que si pudiste llegar hasta allí es porque tu Band-in-a-Box está efectivamente usando un sintetizador virtual, me imagino que es el VSC Edirol, aunque no lo mencionaste, chequea de nuevo y anóta aqui su nombre para estar seguros.
- ¿Has grabado con tu Yamaha PSR E-323 Ypt 320 en otros programas de música? si es asi ¿has tenido también problemas de volumen?
Hay otros factores que pueden ser causa de niveles bajos de volumen, por ejemplo algunos teclados pueden tener un envío de notas MIDI con bajo "velocity" debido a la sensibilidad propia del teclado mismo y podría generar poco nivel de volumen en el instrumento ya que el "velocity" es el parámetro MIDI equivalente a la intensidad del toque. Eso hace necesario en algunos casos ajustar la curva de sensibilidad del teclado o compensar manualmente por edición el velocity de las notas MIDI en el programa. Pero descartemos primero lo anterior antes de irnos por esta probabilidad.
Seguimos en la busqueda de la solución. Lo resolveremos!

Hola Carlos:
Muchas gracias por todas las molestias que te estás tomando. Bien, las cosas van mejor. No sé como lo hice pero ya se oye el teclado con un volumen aceptable. Efetivamente, ya puedo ensayar mis canciones con el BIAB. Ahora sucede algo que es un problema con eso que se llama Latencia, creo y que es el tiempo que trancurre entre que pulso la tecla y se oye la nota por el altavoz. Tengo demasiada latencia lo que hace que no pueda conjuntar los distintos instrumentos del programa. Esa latencia excesiva no existe cuando escojo la opción de que la salida sea a través de los altavoces de mi teclado, en este caso se oye bien y trabajo bien mis canciones. De manera que ahora estoy a gusto.
Todavía no he grabado ninguna canción así que no puedo contestar a la mayoría de tus preguntas. Haré pruebas y te escribiré para narrarte los resultados. Eso puede que no sea de inmediato de manera que quizás tardes en tener noticias mías.
Mientras, me pregunto si existen programas sintetizadores mejores que el que lleva por defecto mi PC y si los puedo usar en el BIAB y mejorar el sonido. Si sabes de alguno, puedes comunicármelo.
Otra vez gracias y en cuanto tenga canciones grabadas volveré a escribirte.
