This is from the wishlist When will Band In A Box be available for iOS With the increasing power of processors in iPads and capabilites to run Logic Pro as well as GarageBand, it seems like Band In A Box would be perfectly suited to an app for iPad and maybe even iPhone. Would LOVE to have BIAB on my mobile devices...it can be the ultimate sketch pad on the fly. Any development underway for us? ...Any development underway for us? If they are looking into to this now behind the scenes as suggested it would be a good way to go: JUCE is the most widely used framework for audio application and plug-in development. It is an open source C++ codebase that can be used to create standalone software on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, as well as VST, VST3, AU, AUv3, AAX and LV2 plug-ins. JUCE allows developers to focus on the most valuable parts of their software by taking care of the differences between operating systems (both desktop and mobile) and plug-in formats. With JUCE’s library of digital audio processing (DSP) building blocks you can quickly prototype and release native applications and plug-ins with a consistent user experience across all supported platforms. Using JUCE also future-proofs your products against operating system and plug-in host updates. With their current programming language PG spend 6 months on the Win Version then the next 6 months on the Mac version let alone iOS. Imagine if you could get the same Biab at the same time on any operating system Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, as well as VST, VST3, AU, AUv3, AAX and LV2 plug-ins. It is definitely all possible when you think outside the box.

This is the thing I've been missing from bibs for years. I know there is a BB Remote and Band-in-a-Box for iPhone, but that always means having a computer on stage so that the song can be played using a cell phone or iPhone

Yes, Band-in-a-Box can be controlled with a mobile application. There are two mobile applications available: BB Remote and Band-in-a-Box for iPhone. BB Remote is used as a remote control for the desktop version of Band-in-a-Box for Windows. It allows you to control the desktop program from your iPhone, but the sounds will come out of the desktop program, not the iPhone. Band-in-a-Box for iPhone, on the other hand, is a standalone app for iOS devices that functions as a client to the regular Band-in-a-Box desktop version. It allows you to transfer your song library from the desktop version to your iPhone, view chord lead sheets, play songs, and generate audio on your iPhone.

Imagine if you could get the same Biab at the same time on any operating system Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, as well as VST, VST3, AU, AUv3, AAX and LV2 plug-ins. It is definitely all possible when you think outside the box. I'm reminded of the old joke of someone who stops by a local and asks directions to somewhere. The local thinks a bit and then says, "If I were you, I wouldn't start from here.".
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
