Hi Gayle,

Thankyou so much for those very kind comments.

I deplore "squeaky" fiddles - they are very grating to my ears. I did a fair amount of EQ-ing to retain the character of the fiddle yet harness the squeaking, grating, and shrillness of its sound production. Thank you for noticing and commenting on that facet of the song.

Wishing you the very best,

Alan

Nice!

It's easy to put together an instrumental, but much more difficult to make something that hangs together and has direction.

I enjoyed the listen. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Alan...man you can't go wrong with acoustic guitar and fiddle...this is a beautiful "interlude" to take a break with...stop listening to the "voices" for a while and just rest in the music...well constructed...well done!

James,

You are always exceedingly kind with your comments regarding my music. I sincerely appreciate that. And I'm delighted this one has "lifted" at least a bit. It's my opinion that music should create a positive influence on the listener. It is heartwarming to me to know this piece of music did just that for you. Thank you for telling me!

Wishing you everything good.

Alan

floyd nailed our thoughts. There is very, very little that we can add.

It is sublime and beautifully produced and a stellar example of the power of BiaB in the hands of a talented user.

Hi Alan.

This is a beautiful work. I love how the fiddle and guitar are panned. It sits so comfortably on the psyche.
The ambience created by these two instruments is thoughtful, calming and restful.
You have a gift for creating beautifully elegant music.
I drifted along with the music, thoroughly enjoying where you took me.

I hope the success of your chemo continues today smile

My very best wishes to you and Di.

Janice & Bud,

Thank you very much. I'm delighted you enjoyed it. As I mentioned in my posting comments, I have 8 - 10 of these two-instrument acoustic pieces. I'll be posting every couple of weeks. They're not all guitar and fiddle, although most are. But, all of them are acoustic.

Thanks again!

Alan

Hi Noel,

I'm always excitedly anticipatory as I'm about to click on one of your songs or read one of your comments. I've never once been disappointed either way.

Thank you so very much. An ambient calm was the intention. Thank you for validating I succeeded. Your comment about a gift for creating beautifully elegant music was particularly meaningful. I sincerely appreciate that.

Thanks for everything. Your comments and input are among the most important ones I receive.

Wishing you well,

Alan

PS: I've been cancer-free since August 1015. Thank you for your interest in that. I've had two physical exams this year and that status quo remains.

B.D.

Thank you very much! Sometimes, actually often, simplicity has a stronger message than complicated offerings

I always appreciate your input!
