Marc, I actually know little about her music or her albums. She has had a couple of songs out that I actually liked a lot. But the songs had nothing to do with her. I liked the songs themselves and just about anyone could've put their voice on them and the recording would've been as good or better. The musicians, production, equipment made the songs. Not her, she added nothing to them. I'm biased because I don't really care for her. Self promotion, to me, is what she's all about. She's always looking for another stunt to get tongues to wagging (such as the Britney Spears kissing incident). For the kids, she knows how to market and display a product on the shelves very well.

Now, here's an example of human nature that's funny. I like Britney Spears but she is basically in the the same category as Madonna (a star with no particular talent). Don't care for her music. Just like her. I guess it's her beauty and she seems sweet.

I have not heard Madonna's albums that made Rolling Stone's list but I take issue with a lot of things that Rolling Stone says (and I'm not that well versed in Rolling Stone either). I've read a few of their lists and anyone that puts so many guitar players ahead of Jeff Beck doesn't really have a clue (IMO). And anyone that says Bob Dylan's 'Like a Rolling Stone' is the #1 song of all time is clueless (that should get some reaction). Ever read the words to that song. When I was young I didn't care for Dylan. His later stuff, some of it I like. And his voice has really gotten good lately. Blues definitely was an influence on him.
