I upgraded to 2024 a couple of days ago and all seemed well!
I'm doing an instrumental version of Fairy Tale of New York. The song starts in 4/4 time (all good) then I want to change style to a 6/8 and that's where the problem starts. I use f5 and change the style but when I replay it most of the instruments in the 4/4 style drop out and I'm left with just piano (there is guitar and drums). And the 6/8 style isn't correct - it drops some weird synth patch in on the drums, and again, some instruments are missing. I did follow tutorial videos, read the help etc to make sure I was doing it correct and as far as I can tell I am. I gave up last night and now think I'll record two seperate 'tracks' and join them up in my DAW. Frustrating to say the least! Thanks for any suggestions.

Can you please let us know the exact two styles that you are using. It might not be related, but then we can test to see if we get the same or different results.
Changing to a different style might indeed cause a change in the instruments that are being used.

Thanks. The two styles are _AIRDUO.STY (simple piano and guitar) and I want the change to _CJIGBZK.STY. ( Celtic Jig w/ Band) I'm quite happy for the two styles to change instrument as the original is similar. What happens on the Celtic Jig w/ band is there is no band to speak of. Only a low bass guitar and a synth drum! And the guitar intermittently drops out of the first style.

All multistyle Paks that were absolutely OK in the last 2023 version are completely Off in 2024. Reported to PG. You just have to try it to see it and what's more, it's VISUALLY OBVIOUS in the track view. Even a multistyle created in 2024 cannot be reread. Looking forward to version 11.23  Thank you. Agreed. Changing the rhythm from, for example, 4/4 to 2/4 is possible only through changing the style defined for the given sign?

Thank you for confirming, it's very kind of you. I spent an hour or so last night trying to find the solution and gave up in the end. Hopefully, something can be sorted by PG. Thanks again Thanks for the further information.

Recently upgraded to 2024 and had a similar issue of particular instruments dropping (with wonky syncing for remaining instruments). Experimentation led me to believe it was related to the general use of Bar Settings (is this f5?) and, perhaps more specifically, the swapping out of instruments mid-song via Bar Settings. Took a copy of my original file (created with 2023), opened in 2024, removed all bar settings, and then rebuilt bar settings. All fine. This was just before I received link to v1105 which appears to have corrected the issue as I now get proper generation on the original file.

I had a similar issue, but was made aware of a pre-release 1106 update that solved the issues. Seems to happen with style changes and songs with breaks. The online update is only at 1104, but the newest 1106 release can be gotten from PGMusic through chat

Yes, this is resolved in pre-release build 1106. Definitely contact PG Music support to inquire about obtaining the pre-release update.
