Background:In addition to BiaB 2024, I treat myself to an electronic drum pad this year to continue my musical growth. This is a simple 2-chord wonder intended to “kick the tires” with the pad, hopefully I kept reasonable time with it. I played the kick drum with the left stick and the snare with the right. Technicals:90 BPM BiaB:RealTracks in style: ~907:Piano, Electric, Rhythm SmoothCool Dry Sw16 100 RealTracks in style: ~365:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Ev 085 RealTracks in song: 2019:Sax, Tenor, Soloist PopCountryMark Ev 085 Me:Korg Synth Fender Bass Roland Sampling Drum Pad Thanks for listening if you do and comments always welcome. A bassist expanding to drums. My, what IS the world coming to?? Ha!
Hey, I think you may have something there after all! Sounded in the pocket to me, but I'm not a drummer (or a bassist). The drum sample you used has a short, clicky sound that is easy to follow, but not my favorite percussive sample for this style of song. Anyway, fun tune! Wishing you many happy drumming adventures in the New Year...

Sounds like you are off to a great start. The drum and mix sound very good to me.

Cool song. I like those synth bits you have sprinkled in there. The drum seems a little to forward in the mix and separate from the rest of your fine band.

Cool piece. Interesting how you mixed the kick. It grew on me as song progressed. Well done.

Cool piece. Interesting how you mixed the kick. It grew on me as song progressed. Well done. Yeah, that "kick" (left stick pattern) just sort of came to me. There is a ton to explore in that pad. Thanks for listening.
