Hey Ian. Thanks for the screen shots. Still doesn't answer the question but does give some more info. The greyed out Drums indicate the Style drums have been erased. What I suggest is to open Track Actions on the Drums Track and click on - Revert Track to Style Instrument - and try the Play button to see if that reactivates the drums. (it did on my test) If not, try the Play/Generate button. You can freeze all of the other tracks to prevent them from regenerating but don't freeze the Drums Track. If things still don't return to normal, from the Track Actions Menu, Erase the track again and try to revert again.

Also, Right Click on the Part Markers that have red underlines and look at the drums to see if there's anything there out of the ordinary.
