I don’t have any issues if my Bar Settings is NOT Frozen.

But after saving my song with ALL bars Frozen, I didn’t get the wanted result, of setting the Soloist Bar like this:

Bar 1: All Choruses,All tracks,Volume Changes:Mute,

The result was, that I heard 3 notes of the soloist guitar when starting my song.

We can solve this issue MANUALY in all our Frozen songs, by disabling the Frozen value, while changing the Bar Settings, and after that Freezing them again.

Um...

I think "frozen" means just that.

Exactly this. Once your tracks are frozen, they will not respond to ANY changes to your chordsheet - this includes Bar Settings.

Hi Jorgen.

This video on Frozen Tracks might offer some insight that could be useful.

I puzzled with something similar until I realised that the bar setting effect the generation, not the playing. That's reasonable enough, I just hadn't realised.

You could try volume automation as an alternative way to mute instruments. I think that does affect playback (sorry, can't verify at the moment, wrong OS as ever.

This would be my suggestion - it's more flexible, and lets you choose exactly where to mute instruments, or fade out a chord, or generally make things sound more realistic.

It appears the 3 notes of the soloist guitar when starting the song were grace notes residing in Bar 0 and would not be affected by Bar 1 settings as indicated in the post.

As a side note, it may be beneficial to some to read my Tips and Tricks post that detailed 18 different ways to manipulate or mute audio volume tracks in BIAB.

Why I prefer Utility Track volume controls over Legacy Track volume controls

This is exactly why I prefer using Volume Automation over other methods. Bar Settings only works exactly at the bar lines, while Volume Automation works anywhere you want to put it - even multiple times in a bar.

Yes volume automation is the way, once they get it in the new tracks window it will make things so much easier.
The F5 way is left over from the DOS where you did things by entering numbers but now you have a graphical interface you can see instantly where all the automation is.
Also once you get the names in tracks it will show what instrument change is where.
