The Bass is actually simply the root note played on the beat. At a fairly low level. Just to give some support to the piano (who really handles the bass).
It's there-if-you-listen. That is what I was after.

Much appreciated, Dan. I've really only learned to play the piano this past year. That has helped with strings, of course. Still learning.
