When I select a piano model for my midi track and restart a generation Biab invariably returns to the first of my EZ pianos. How to fix this? THANKS.

Just to be clear, are you using BIAB2024 and EZK 1? And have you inserted EZK1 as a VST on a track in BIAB? Which Track?

Sorry, I can't reproduce the problem. I loaded EZK1 on Piano track (3) with midi content. I could select any of the EZK pianos and it would keep and play what ever I set. No switching going on. Tell me what "restart" is? I could play, stop, replay, stop, regenerate, play and all stayed as it should. However, when I closed BIAB and reopened, it no longer had EZK saved. It had returned to my default midi synth. Is that your problem?? Because it is a new problem. I have BIAB2024 v1108 (newest beta).

So I have a problem that you don't have.
When I say restart I simply mean starting at measure 1.
Regenerate does the same.

I found a slightly longer solution but I use elements and there it takes EZKeys2 in Vst3 and it saves it for me and reopens it easily. I'll stay like this for now.

From what you tell me, I think it's my EZkeys installation that is bad. I initially thought it was due to the midiheader. A bit like the Swams. Ezkeys2 in Biab, it's nice.

Two different problems with a VST plugin being used in BIAB? That neither of us can reproduce? What are the odds of that? We need a third opinoin. Rustyspoon should be able to help with this.

MoultiPass,
I only use VST2 version in BIAB until VST3 is released, from what I understand within next 2-3 month...
Also, in BIAB I only use EZkeys to generate content of EZkeys and 3rd party MIDI loops within EZkeys, I only have their Dream Machine, so unfortunately can't test what you are describing. But it seems there is something in actual MIDI track that causes program change.

Try another track and completely different MIDI content. If you tried Midi Tracks, try Super Midi or wise versa.

Thanks Rustyspoon# You put me on the right track, you actually just need to uncheck "Allow MIDI Program Change" and everything becomes simpler.

I've been looking for a while and it was fixed in 3 hours. Thanks guys.

I have never used that setting in EZK. I clicked it now, but it made no differ with my problem.

So Rusty can you set the EZK1 plugin, save the file and then open it again see if it remembered the plugin (as it should) or went back to the default (as it is now doing here)?

Dan,
I opened a project, generated chord track, added EZ1, saved it. Closed BIAB. Re-opened. EZ is there (not a default synth)

Have you been naughty this year?

Try a brand new project, see if it's related to particular file.

Fixed. It took a "Return to Factory Settings". Suffice it to say, I am not happy about that. Total crazyness.

How do you use VST3 instruments (like EZkeys 2) inside Biab? I know that Biab doesn't support it yet, but from the conversation it seems that somehow it's possible, unless I misunderstood. Thanks!
Edit: maybe this is it? https://kushview.net/element/

That's it.
It was mentioned that VST3 support is coming as a patch at a later time to those who upgraded to 2024. So hopefully we will see it within 2-3 month.
