It might make sense if all(?) of the settings from the MIDI_Settings->Channels dialog for the track in question were on a dialog opened from that channel number. That would allow quick access also to things like the octave offset. Related features line the fit-to-not-range would then also make sense in the same place. It would also allow these settings for all tracks on the all-tracks-equal philosophy.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
