Both are lovely but the live version with Kiana is lush and “big” while the BiaB version is more intimate and “light."
Your productions are outstanding and Kiana is a wonderful singer.
It's great she is part of your music circle.

Your use of the synth vocalist is spectacular.
If we had to make a choice we'd likely go with the live version but they are both superb.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Shigeki,

I also listened intensly to both your versions. They were both very nice, although I agree with Nigell the vocals could do with a little less volume.
And I prefer the first version more (the life band) because of two things:
1.The vocals are more intimate and, say, a bit warmer, though I heard some sibilance in that version (is that even possible with synth vocals?)
2. The strings are very nice
The second version had a very nice piano in it, but the vocals were a bit too loud (as I wrote before) and a bit harsh.

But talking about the overall performance and the melody; well, you did a great job on that!!!

A great idea to communicate the musicians your arrangement.
And the result is great, I love Kiana's vocals and (as always) your string arrangement is as good as it gets.

I listened to both, but my comments are mainly directed to the live band version.

Wonderfully done! A song that is reminiscent of yesteryear. The string arrangement is lovely. Such a sweet voice the singer has.

Very nice to hear another one from the master of innocent and romantic love songs, combination of eastern and western music at best. I enjoyed both versions, the live version has beautiful and lush orchestration of strings and the mature voice by Kiana, the RealTrack version has intimate feeling and "teenage" voice matching nicely with the lyrics. Such a lovely melody and very pleasant chord progression.

Hello Shigeki Adachi.

This is superb music. As I've said many times over the years, you are a very talented musician. Not only do you have an outstanding ability to compose beautiful melodies and fine lyrics, your ability to orchestrate always leaves me filled with admiration. When I was listening to the introduction, your use of 2-part counterpoint with the strings really grabbed my attention, and I was reminded of the way that Mantovani arranged strings for his orchestra.

Your music friend, 樹亜夏, is a fantastic singer. You're a lucky man to surrounded by so much incredible talent.

I love listening to your compositions and your arrangements. I'm always inspired by your musical abilities.

May many good things come your way!
--Noel

P.S. It was a nice touch using the coloured image for live version and a black-and-white variation of the same image for the vocaloid version smile
