"The new track view should only have the populated tracks that are being used show and auction under a context menu to add the blank next track"

"Also, to wean PGM off of the currently state of " all tracks are not equal" they should add a track number to each track because eventually that will be part of the solution for getting to "all tracks are equal".
^ This was discussed couple of years back in detail and most agreed that simplifying names to something like trk1 trk2 or t1, t2, t3 etc. would be a better way forward.
