So, I added a couple of bars to the solo with only the rhythm instruments. However, this does not shift the audio by two bars later. Am I missing something or is this not possible without moving the audio waveform in the Tracks window?

Thanks,
Hi Hogtime,

If the bars had been inserted at the beginning, it would have been quite easy to move the audio track using the "Audio | Edit audio | Time shift audio menu". Since the bars have been in the middle of the song, adjusting the audio track is more complicated because it means essentially splitting the audio track into two bits and relocating the section that comes after the added soloist bars.

Fortunately "Audio edit" makes this possible.

Before doing anything, though, save a backup copy of your song (including the audio). Then if things don't work out as planned, you can return to the original and start again.

Here is a pdf that I have prepared to explain how you can add the necessary bars.
