The Bridge to Nowhere

In a valley in the magical country of Enchancia there is a village called Mystic Crossroads. In Mystic Crossroads there is a bridge. When a Dwarf walks it they return to where they started. They call it The Bridge to Nowhere. When an elf walks it and they play their magical flute a door opens and allows the elf to enter another realm, the realm of Mystic Elfland.

BiaB Style = Question - Smooth Jazz
Tempo - 50 BPM
Bass - Kontakt - Amadeus - basses
Piano - Keys of the 70s - Stage Mark 73 full
Srings - EastWest - Play - Symphonic choir - full choir
Utility track - converted to an EZKeys 2 track - Amadeus - harp

I am playing the Swam Bansuri via my wind controller.

As always all comments welcomed.

The first thing I noticed was the wide stereo spread... a bit wider than comfortable.

That's what I get for listening through my headphones! laugh

The bansuri sounds good, as do your backing tracks.

Zzzzzzz. wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Mario,

This is magical... It has such a mystical sound and ambiance. The flute is beautiful.

A great mix really tops this off - excellent!

Mario, very cool track. Had to Google "Enchancia" but after that I was good to go. Like the atmospheric swirl of the mix and the Bansuri fits right in. Your wind controller is a nice trick to have up your sleeve, and you use it to great effect here. Looking forward to more reports from Elfland! Ron

Very pretty Mario. The mix sounded great on my studio monitors. Loved the high synth bell like sounds. Lovely melody. Well done

Hi Mario,

I listened to this yesterday but I guess I failed to leave a comment. Can I blame it on a really bad day?

Anyway, this is very pretty with just the the perfect touch of softness. You are so danged good at this style - seriously, you are. We old farts are hanging in there!

Very nice, indeed!

Thanx Ron. I actually googled fantasy village names to come up with it. I do like the wind controller. I just purchased a breath controller as I can do more things with it.

Ah, very peaceful Mario. The swirling synth fits perfectly with your gentle bansuri.
And like the title suggests, the music is going nowhere - it just is.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mario,

I read a couple of the comments before pressing play and saw the one from David about the wide stereo spread, so of course I listened through the 'phones eek Your mix works for me.

Cool stuff, nice atmosphere and I really liked the Swam Bansuri, great tone and melody.

With Alan experimenting with Chineses music and you taking us to Elfland, I am taken back to my childhood, or teenagehood. I wanted to be different than Beatle or Stones so listened to a lot of this and classical. Seriously, Mario. This is compelling as well as relaxing, and as such it takes us inward to that magic door behind which is there is elfin magic. I smell cookies.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Mario,

I woke up at 3:00 in the morning and I saw Gandalf standing in my room holding his large stick.

"What the.. . "

Before I could finish, he said:

"Arise take your stick and journey to New York. There you will find an elven leader who possesses a garden of magical plants, among them the mushroom of the sacred stone. Make a hot bowl of Brew and add two measures of moon thistle, along with two handfuls of the sacred weed. Drink this hearty broth until it is gone. And then you will be taken to the magical land of the magical muses of a thousand gnomes and swim in the lake of destiny. And there you shall hear a song that will give you directions to the road back to the Shire, given to you in a silver dream. Depart now and return to the astral plane."

And then he was gone.

I had no idea what he was talking about until I listened to this song.

Man, whatever you got growing back there could you please send me a couple of kilos in a cardboard box by FedEx tomorrow.
