I searched for days quite some time back to find a cure for a stuttering scroll line. Nothing worked by it self. I finally found the answer. I had to turn off hyper-threading in the BIOS and set Real Band to use a discreet thread. Fixed the issue. If I have a crash and go through the setup again the thing is not set to discreet thread and it stutters. Another thing that happens is if I don't turn off the screen saver when I hit something to get the screen back while playing a song the tracks, all audio, will go out of sync. It takes some playing around at times to know your system and find what works best.
As far as ASIO goes unless you have a soundcard that gives more outputs with ASIO or need to play a soft synth in real time you don't need ASIO. Go to MME. This cures most issues as well.
