Make a hot bowl of Brew and add two measures of moon thistle, along with two handfuls of the sacred weed. Drink this hearty broth until it is gone. And then you will be taken to the magical land of the magical muses of a thousand gnomes and swim in the lake of destiny. And there you shall hear a song that will give you directions to the road back to the Shire, given to you in a silver dream. Depart now and return to the astral plane."

And then he was gone.

I had no idea what he was talking about until I listened to this song.

Man, whatever you got growing back there could you please send me a couple of kilos in a cardboard box by FedEx tomorrow.

grin grin David, you write some of the best reviews and in fact given me an idea for a song, i.e. "The Dance of the Shrooms"! grin

There is nothing magic here just an occasional beer.
I'm glad you liked my little journey into magical Elfland.

PS - The only weeds here are creeping charlie/jenny and clover but my wife has a bunch of gnomes and I live near Lake Ontario. Maybe that was what Gandalf was referencing?

The maestro strikes again. A soundtrack worthy composition and production. The music fits your description perfectly. Methinks someone has been munching on magic mushrooms. laugh

If you haven't already, write an audiobook, Mario.
This magical song is perfect for the story you're telling.
Nice wide and transparent mix with some beautiful bells and whistles.
Enjoyed the listen.

Mario.
I'm finding it hard to keep up with all the new tracks here lately but I'm glad I caught this one.
You bring so many images to this track.
Beautiful.

Thanx so much for listening and commenting. My mind is to scatter brained to concentrate on one subject long enough to do an audio book.

Hi Mario.

This is really beautiful listening.
I love the haunting sound of the Swam Bansuri.
This is the first time I've heard of this instrument and I'm really impressed. I'll have to go and find out about it.
As always, creating music that gives rise to pastoral images in my mind is one of your many skills.
I really enjoy this journey.

All the best,
--Noel

Program music, yes, I understand but sometimes the words don't match the images in a listeners head.
Contemplative, calm and no sense of the frustrated dwarf...would throwing get them across as in the Helm's Deep section of the film?

Cheers

Thanx so much Noel for this very kind review. You will find the Bansuri in the Swam flutes. I am a big fan of Swam instruments.

Thanx Ray. You are right about the dwarfs but in this piece I was emphasizing the elf side. Maybe I'll do a part two that emphasizes the dwarfs side.

This is stunning - as usual, from you - but, even from you, this is especially beautiful. Magical, mesmerising ... others have said it already, I repeat it. What a beautiful journey to nowhere smile This is deceptively hard to do, says someone who's tried and repeatedly failed at this kind of thing. Bravo.

Thanx so much James for this great review, I appreciated it. But I'm still a hacker trying to learn this genre!

Well you created a bridge to an engaging and meditative space.

And your choice of tracks, the mix and of course your performance are magical.
The soundstage is excellent on our monitors.

Nice one for listening while gazing out the window at what has finally become only a gentle rain.

Well done!

Thanx Janice and Bud for this very kind review. It has rained here so much since early summer to right not (yes it is raining here again) that I'm either going to plant rice or build an arc!
