Beyond The Ozone - Into The No Parking Zone

This is one I originally posted 6 or 7 years ago. It's all I have until I finish a couple of newer ones I don't yet have the time to finish. Hope you don't mind me reposting for just a while.

This is all BIAB - nothing I've added from any other source. I just had way too much fun playing around with the indigenous BIAB plug-ins! I think this was originally recorded with BIAB 2017 and whatever extras that version had.

There's way too much echo delay, flange, phase shifting, and EQ-ing. But, in my opinion, way too much was just the perfect amount. I used a fairly long delay with a slow decay rate. It's not a genre I would ever have been able to play in real life, so I had no choice but to go BIAB all the way. But I think it was a good choice!

I did some significant tweaking in Audacity. I brought the bass volume up a little bit, as I did the bongos. I added a small amount of mid-EQ to the bass, but not much - I attempted to get rid of some of the "mush" without losing the depth/bottom. I also added some high-mid EQ to the primary drum kit. I wanted to bring up the impact of the toms and snare without overdoing the ride cymbal. The song has a bit more "pop" to it than the original did.
