Then I updated BiaB to 2024, I now have missing styles as shown in Style Picker, if I filter styles to "Show only N/A (not found) styles".
I know if I reinstall certain exe installers, I could retrieve these missing style, the question is, which exe should I reinstall? There are too many of them.
The 13 missing styles all belong to RT set 411 to 429, and they are:
It would also be interesting to know exactly what has happened. If you had all those styles before and they were found by BIAB2023. Have they then been removed by the BIAB2024 installation or can't the BIAB2024 installation find them.
I don't think one can trust the "What add ons do you have" at all. I have several styles missing but when checking with the "What add ons do you have" I have all RT installed and I do not miss any RT pack. To me it looks like that if the "What add ons do you have" functions find any style that belongs to an RT pack it marks that pack as available (only a guess I don't know, but I don't think I can't trust the information to be correct).
This might be an unusual question, but have you done a Rebuild of the Style Picker since the update?

When you installed BIAB, did you install over the top of the 2023 version?
Did you upgrade using the Plus Pak or did you purchase 2024 on a USB drive?
It's strange how it's styles from 2023 that are not found. This seems to suggest that you did not put 2024 into the same directory that 2023 was installed into.
I somehow are thinking along the same lines as Noel mentioned. Did you install the upgrade over the top of your existing system, and did you purchase the same or a higher level upgrade to what you had previously?

I don't really see anything in common with those styles, aside from being 2023 styles. A few have Nov.30 2022 date which would mean they would have been released shortly after the first build and included in the 2023 patch.
I suggest that you (re)install RT sets 401-429 (about 6 exe's). That's all of the RealTracks from 2023.
First, I'm NOT missing any RealTracks, I'm only missing Styles. For those of you who knows how to use Band-in-a-Box, RealTracks and Styles are two completely different things. RealTracks are groups of recorded audio files, while Styles are small .sty and .stx files existing in the "bb\Styles" folder for the purpose of putting various RealTracks together as an arrangement.
Second, when I install any exe files of BiaB 2024, the installation location is defaulted to my 2023 installed location, and all files are extracted and merged to the existing 2023 folder.
Third, the RealTracks exe installer only installs RealTracks, not Styles, that's why it's not working.
Can PG Music staff at least search the keyword of these 13 Styles, and find out which exe installer they were from (main program, 0 pak, 49 pak, additional pak, etc)?
Can someone from this forum go to his/her Styles folder, copy the .stx and .sty files out for these 13 styles, and upload a zip file to Google drive or Dropbox, and share the link please?
It took me a whole day! Finally I have figured out the reason.
PG Music forgot to include those 13 styles in Band-in-a-Box 2024 release! No wonder why.
I was using BiaB 2023 Build 1002. Then I updated to BiaB 2024 Build 1102, and start having these missing styles.
Why? Because these 13 styles was added in BiaB 2023 Build 1006, but not included in BiaB 2024 Build 1102. That's why.
What does it mean? It means any new customer who purchased BiaB 2024 and did a fresh install without BiaB 2023, will facing the same problem: missing these 13 styles!
Solution? What I did, was first download BiaB 2023 update patch of Build 1013, install it, which means downgrade my BiaB from 2024 to 2023, then I reinstall BiaB 2024 Build 1102, problem solved.
Now I have zero N/A styles, and all 11,130 styles shown in my style picker.
Hope this post serves as a workaround for those new customers who just purchased and installed BiaB 2024 and panicking on why they are missing styles.
