I read this differently. This is something I've been curious about. Sounds to me that he took his 2010 USB-drive (not 2010.5) and applied the updates he downloaded (or received on DVD) to the 2010 USB-drive. That updated the files on the USB drive and BIAB ran correctly from the USB drive as 2010.5. However, he then went to use that USB drive to install 2010.5 to his computer's internal hard drive, but it installed 2010, not 2010.5. Sounds like when you do an update to an older version drive, the update doesn't include an new installer exe for the newer version. At least that's what his question sounded like to me.
