yes, i remember it. This remake is astonishingly good! Chris' vocal is dripping with heartbreak. And your fretwork is always so perfect for whatever song you are doing. Love the tone of your guitar. Very delicate and full of soul. Chris just sings this one right out of the park. And you just can't go wrong with Marty on bass. What a fantastic group of talented artist on one song.
So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Wishing your family strength and healing. We've buried three of our children, so we can empathize.
A heartbreaking yet yet wonderful song. Congrats to all of you.

Dave, man this is so very good. Very sorry for your loss and I hope your heart is filled with great memories of your mother. Everyone did a great job here, so much talent on one recording. I sure liked the production and the effects on the vocal, as well that bass and guitar work.

We do remember the song well and it is even more beautiful now.
Whether it is our family or friends or animal companions that we have to say goodbye to, we do try hard to keep their memory alive.
This line says it perfectly:
“I will not forget you ever, darlin’, to keep the light of you in me.”
Chris’s heartfelt vocal performance and the haunting melody with your beautiful guitar solo are simply powerful.
Marty’s bass as always provides the perfect support.
We’re sorry for the loss of your Mother and we both know from experience what a difference it makes in one’s life.

Chris brings so much emotion to this song.
And your guitar sets so many beautiful accents, especially your exceptionally beautiful guitar solo
the background track together with Marty is of course the basis for such a great song

I don't know what the original version sounded like, but this one is great. Perfect arrangement, great guitar and bass, and of course Chris' vocals are the icing on the cake. I love everything about your song ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) I think all of the older songs would sound better redone, I really didn't know much about mixing back when Chris and I first started working together. Plus we both have much better tools now. Normally if a song has already been released I wouldn't bother, but in this case we had never done a video for it, so perfect excuse  Best to you and your Dad.

Vic Marty is the man! Thanks, Vic. Sad story touches whatever the year, although for different reasons for different listeners. Sorry to hear that it is timely for you now. Blue Attitude was an excellent blues band in 2016, and still is after 8 years, even better, the remake is of highest quality. The performances of Dave, Chris and Marty bring smile to my face and tears into my eyes.
