Hi Phil,

I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences. Here's my two bits worth. From reading the forums here for a while, either Win 7 or XP will be fine. If you choose a 64 bit operating system over a 32 bit operating system (XP and Win 7 both come in 32 bit and 64 bit), you will not be able to use the Edirol VSC/DXi for MIDI files. PGMusic now include a Coyote wave table that works on 64 bit operating systems. Some people prefer the Edirol and so stay on 32 bit operating systems.

Also, when you get your arrangements together, you might find it useful to freeze the tracks of each arrangement as this will (a) keep the arrangement exactly as you originally set it and (b) facilitate loading time.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Noel
