Hello the intro of this song is a reference to the 70s. For the rest I tried to exploit the Funk Pop style with a beautiful brass track. I ask the jury for indulgence for singing because it is not my strong point. Attached are the lyrics and their English translation.
Yes It’s my style Agon-Coutainville I'm on cloud nine when I'm at the beach I like to contemplate you The islets of Chausey, Jersey My car a clubman my knitting a Saint James The sea is receding, the beach is immense, I enjoy the silence No palace, no rhinestones, I have space My Agon-Coutainville style, I am calm I don't have any problems with my friends, I don't worry about it in life My Agon-Coutainville style, I am calm I don't have any problems with my friends, I don't worry about it in life.

Really nice mix. I thought everything was well balanced, and since I'm an English only speaker, without your translation I would have no idea what the song was about, I thought your vocal was very good. Nice stuff.
Laurent, this is a fun tune! Like the breezy jazz feel and the key modulations. Nice mix, as Brad noted. Your vocals sounded quite nice with this style of song. Well done!

Laurent, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your voice! You did a excellent job singing in this song. Great mix. I don't need to understand the lyrics to know when I hear a great song and this is a great song. Super job on this one.
PS - women's beach attire sure has changed hasn't it!
OK, a random thought; Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

Je l'aime beaucoup! Je parle le Francais un peu, mais je ne le parle trey bien. J'ai oublie tant!
I like this very much. It does have a definite 1970s vibe. The full band sounds great! I also love key changes - modulations always, in my opinion, breathe new life into a song.
Your singing sounds fine to me. You should sing more often!
This is pretty cool though the drum fill at 0.30 stood out as clumsy. The vocal is good though seems to suffer from the "different room" syndrome. Smooth disco funk.

Hi Lauren. We stayed near there in a camper van a few years ago on our way to the ferry in Cherbourg. I love the French countryside. Your song is very calming and reminds me of the relaxed feeling I get in France.
Love this, Laurent!! Good opening, then that silky guitar adds so much. Cool funky groove, and your vocal are perfet for this genre. Very inviting song with excellent band choices. Cool horn arrangement. Well mastered!!
Enjoy whatever happens! marty

Thanks Alan I have used all the subterfuges available to improve the voice but there is work to improve it. Laurent

Thanks Ray for the comments. I retouched the voice so much that it can quickly become artificial. I had to find a balance, but as I say: you can't turn a donkey into a racehorse. Laurent.

Thanks for the comments Vic. the seaside is very pretty and there aren't many tourists yet but you sometimes have to face the wind and the rain. Laurent

We are very late in responding but we agree with all the positive comments that have been given.
This an outstanding example of the use of multiple BiaB tracks.
And, hey, your vocal is fine ... for us it perfectly suited the vibe.
And, as others have mentioned, the mods add to an already engaging arrangement.
Well done!

Thank you Janice & Bud for your kind comments. The more I work with Band in a Box, the more new doors open. I'm working on a piece where I'm going to change styles and tempos along the way. Laurent
I like the laid back groove happening with this, sets a nice mood. Good instrumentation, I liked the solo guitar especially. And nothing wrong with your vocal in my book, sounds fine to me
