Thanks, Alan, you are absoluetly right about Dave being a wee bit loud. It's likely my subconscious trying to highlight the best of the song. I will fix it. As for my setup, it's pretty simple. I use a Fender P-Bass (Stu Hamm model) with Rotosound flatwound jazz strings that have been on since 2006. It goes through Focusrite into Cakewalk. Once the stem is brought to Reaper there may be some tweaks depending on the song.
