Hi, Vic.

Bouncy arrangement helps make the "preachiness" easier to take.

Nice song, enjoyed the listen! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Very Cool Vic!

Smokin' I should say.

And it has me inspired!!

BECAUSE, after listening to some of the liberal protest songs on the forum lately, I turned on the news today for the first time in six months for about 30 secs.

Naw, I said.

Then I decided to go all preachy myself! Why not, if Vic is gonna get all preachy, let's put this thing in reverse and back her up!

So then I said, per the profound wisdom of this song:

Roll em up. Roll 'em up again. Roll 'em up. Roll 'em up again. Roll 'em up again.

There's an old man. Crappin' in his pants. But be safe now y'all. Write a Liberal Protest Song. Suck it right on up. Make sure to go along!

Roll 'em up. All day long!!

Sing after me everyone!

smile

(Repeat as many times as is necessary to get it.)

Thanks for the inspiration Vic! Preach on brother!!

Vic,
Catchy tune. Simple and effective arrangement, good word play. Mix is clear, but vocals could go slightly to the top.
Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Your right on point with your message. Not too preachy at all. Backing tracks sound great--a perfect match for the lyrics and melody.

Way to go Vic! There's some great writing in there, and really catchy melody. Message is great and loved the instruments you chose.

You never said a truer word. smile
Time to roll one up. Oh I forgot, I gave up about 16 years ago.
Oh well, time for a nice cup of tea then.

Thanks for commenting, Elliott.
I'm afraid I am genre blind. I stick one on it because the site asks for one.
Sometimes I get it right. confused

That’s a good lyric and performance, Vic, and the band is cooking.
Really good groove and a nice open mix.

Preach on, brother!

I like your song, Vic.
It feels like there's not much going on, but the groove pulls you in and doesn't let go.
I love the lyrics and the way you deliver them.
Good stuff smile[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

Hi BD.
My idea was to dwell on the rolling rhythm much like those old blues singers.
At first I debated leaving the lead guitar out of it. Still thinking about it.
Thanks for your appraisal.
