Musocity,..Also, can you do another picture post on the MTV, as to how to copy a portion of audio from one track to another in BiaB, while opening two MultiTrack Views at the same time, just like you did in your previous post. They haven't finished the editing functions in MutiTrack view yet so I used the Audio Edit window in each instance to copy the sections. Musocity,..Can you also confirm RealDrum can be partial regened and edited in build 1108 and 1109? It should be all working but it don't work every time for me, so let them sort that out more. In Reaper you can import the whole RealDrum source file and edit it up so easy by selecting a time section on the timeline then right click on the item "Copy selected are of items" then Ctrl+V on the Drum track. When drop and drag whole drum track into Reaper, right click the item > Item Properties > Playback rate "Set" set original bpm of drum file. If it don't work there are other setting in Preferences, so let me know where you get stuck.

It's a lot more work than a GIF but if it helps I don't mind spending the time.
It might help to get more users over to Reaper, it's amazing how you can do just about anything with it that you can't possibly do in other DAWs. The BB VST integrates so well now with Reaper, with more features coming it just makes things so easy.

Here's a video of editing vocal stems in Reaper, you can get Biab to put them on separate tracks or you can edit them in the one track using Track > Free item positioning. I was able to skip the copy/paste portion, which saves steps but the audio edits have to be accounted to be saved. Can you explain how you do it? My understanding is, with Andrew's method, you save the sgu, the wav file is automatically saved in the folder. With your method, nothing is changed to orange, and nothing is saved as wav. Your method is supposed to be better, because it doesn't generate a wav file, and saves disk space. By tricking the software, it treats a RealDrum track as if it's a editable RealTrack. In theory, it's the best method, in reality, it's not working. The track would be cleared by the software automatically. Andrew's method is better and safer than the way I do. I skip steps, save time and save tracks and delay the conversion to audio (Orange tracks). When I open a file I've edited using my method, the file opens as an Artist Performance File (Orange track). BIAB is programmed to recognize these edited tracks and APF is required method the program uses for this type edit currently.

It's a lot more work than a GIF but if it helps I don't mind spending the time. A lot more work? Not sure if I can agree with that. Annotated pictures are like launch and forget type of things. You fire once, it's done, once for all. Whoever in this forum sees your pictures, will immediately understand what you are trying to say, and can follow the pictures step by step to achieve the result. It may take longer to prepare these pictures, but imagine how much time can be saved on Q&A and further explanations?

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
