We just tested this out. This is working properly for us. To hear a demo of the chord, press shift+click, but if you just click it, it will add the chord to sheet.
Catherine, in this case, it might help you to determine what language his BIAB is written for, and whether his keyboard is standard for English. In other words, there might be some keystrokes that do not work correctly in another language. I believe the OP is in a country in Asia.

In the latest update, I found that the right mouse click was just a demo. Now you need to hold shift to enter your favorite chord into bar. So, should the instructions here be changed?
The instructions appear to be correct. Holding shift will preview (not enter the chord). Is that not what happens for you?

yes. When the user confirms the use of the input, hold down shift and click on the chord to enter the chord. This is consistent with thinking.
