I actually think the way it's working for him (which is the opposite of what it says) is actually the best way for it to work.
When people are using this progression builder they are searching for chords and so the least keystrokes is to search with just clicks and then when they finally hear the chord that they really want there then they press shift click to enter it. yes. When the user confirms the use of the input, hold down shift and click on the chord to enter the chord. This is consistent with thinking.
