Hey guys...here's another before and after sampling...the before is a big orchestrated version in contrast to a very stripped down unplugged version of this three part harmony song...the vocal track is exactly the same in both renditions...again if you choose to you can listen to one or the other or both or neither...BUT...if you do...thanks for listening...I love the comments! Dan, wow, both of these are quite spectacular! The orchestral version is majestic and would be a thrilling finale for any program of music. It's just HUGE and very satisfying.
That being said, I like the stripped down version better, since I LOVE the vocals, and I can feel them better without the other instrumentation. That's just my preference, I can understand strong feelings on both sides.
Either way, you, Bob and Gene did a superb job on the vocals, and your accompaniment is spot on for both versions. Very nice!

Dan ,
The vocals really shine in this! What a great song and the backing you've put together while really sparse to start is beautifully supportive in this! The vocals on the modulation parts are deserving of high praise as well as the wonderful harmony parts! I've never heard anything that is better in the forum or anywhere else for that matter! Excellent!!
Thanks, TB

Dan,
Both versions are great, but the "sparse" version for me is the standout... You really hear the quality of the vocals and the beauty of the song. Very powerful stuff.
Excellent music!

Bob Bob...thanks for your kind remarks...I love both versions and believe the song will stand in both sparse and full orchestration...though I think I agree with your assessment...Dan

Dan,
It is mind-boggling how good you are with that Yamaha arranger. (Impressive piano!)
The difference between the versions is huge. Both are excellent.
Amazing vocals.
A really nice mix on the BIAB version.

To be honest, I enjoyed both versions, Dan, and really don't have a preference for either over the other. Lyrically, it reminds me of the Nicene Creed we say at Mass every Sunday, so it rings very true to me. Well done and sorry I wasn't able to vote on one or the other. I think it's a winner either way!

Dan - great song! I really love the way you can state a simple fact in such a simple manner, but in the process make it sound so artistic. The song stands alone and would be good regardless of singer or style - though I agree with everyone else, y'all really knocked out these vocals. I may differ with others, in that I think I like the orchestration better - but they're both a close match. I loved the bells and the piano in that version. For me personally, I thought the stripped down version may have been a little bare. Particularly at the beginning. That's kinda weird for me, because I generally prefer that style. I think my mind was preparing for a fiddle or dobro or something on the other version, but that is being hyper-critical. I repeat, it's a great song!

Dan, Gene, and Bob you all are exception singers. Great harmonies! Dan, you really know how to tickle those Yamaha keys and that Yamaha has some outstanding patches! I listened to both versions and both are outstanding. But if I had to choose one it would be the orchestra version. I really liked the power in that one and IMHO it was a better fit for your message. Well actually the message was the real winner. Loved them!

Hey Floyd, Dewey, Brad and Mario...I so appreciate your thoughts about Affirmation...your opinions are so valuable to me as I remix these older songs...my website will have both versions because they vary so much...I have found with BiaB and the bare vocal tracks that many different styles can be put on any particular song...it is tremendous fun to hear them with different styles attached...thanks again for your comments...Dan

Hi Dan,
I had a listen to both versions, and they are both very good indeed!
I think I prefer the stripped down version because it allows those excellent vocals to really shine.
Good one!

Dan, The vocals here are something truly special. Both versions are great but if I had to choose I'd go full blown. You are an exceptional talent and it is always a pleasure to experience your creations, Tom

Hi, Dan. I'm a sucker for big productions, so I like the second arrangement better. But... Both versions are excellent.

Dan, This is really beautiful. That three-part Harmony is gorgeous. Well, I've seen a couple of miracles in my lifetime and this is one of them. I suppose the first miracle was when I heard that Alice Cooper was teaching Sunday school at Camelback Baptist (I think I have the church right) and was discussing his lesson plans with a friend of mine when they were playing golf together in Phoenix. But never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that you would get a member of Kiss to sing with you as part of your three-part gospel group. I now believe that the Second Coming is just around the corner and that this horrific existence of open borders and burning cities is about to come to an end. Hallelujah. Thanks for the song Dan!!!! Happy Sunday!!! Come quickly Jesus!!!!!!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Affirmation!!! Man, you sure surround yourself with heavenly voices. Absolutely astounding. I really like the strings in the old version. Same great vocals. I can't say which version I like better because a good song is... good. Wait, I got more chills in the orchestra version. Love that piano too.
