Blue Ridge Morning MistFOR SOME REASON, THERE'S NO SOUND ON THE TRACK WHEN YOU CLICK ON TO IT. WHEN I GO TO THE SOUNDCLOUD SITE, IT PLAYS JUST FINE. I'LL GET BACK TO THIS WHEN I FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM.
** I THINK IT'S FIXED NOW. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PLAYBACK ** This is one I threw together in about 3 hours yesterday afternoon. The closest I can come to a genre is Americana Pop. If that wasn't already a recognized genre, I guess I just started it! It's all acoustic. I particularly like the nuances BIAB gave me for the acoustic lead guitar in the last verse. To me, they're a little more elegant than the previous acoustic lead. There are a couple of squeaks from the acoustic lead near the beginning of the first verse. I could have eliminated them with the Multiriff option, but after 11 or 12 generations, the musical aspect wasn't as good in any of them, so I left the squeaks in the mix with a bit of EQing to minimize them a bit. As I mentioned, this is a quick throw-together, but I hope it sounds half-way decent. The name is a bit clumsy, but it's what came to mind. This sounds great. I love the variety of instruments and the way they play off each other. It feels like a real ensemble piece. Beautiful and flowing...

Alan, this sounds really cool! The jazzy chord progression played with acoustic folk/country/pop instruments gives this a unique, pleasing texture. "Americana Pop"? Sounds as good as anything to me. You were more productive in these three hours yesterday than I was all day...well done!!

Alan, isn't it amazing how sometimes those quick and dirty songs turn out as one of your best?
This is an outstanding song.

I would classify this as acoustic smooth jazz.

You probably know that I like to play around with chord progressions. This one is relatively simple, but seems to work. Try like heck to stay warm. here in Northern Alabama we're having one of the coldest winters in almost 40 years. Single digit temps three nights in a raw with highs in the teens and lower twenties. Oh, those were 3 hours well spent, Alan. Magic fingers on that acoustic. Fun fiddle, too. Good band choices and you gave them something cool to groove on. Mando managed to add some more fruit to this well grown tree. Such a pleasenet mix, too. These are the best 4 minutes you can ask for from three hours.
