Don't Tell The Judge I Lied on YouTube ...or anywhere else for that matter. A simple twist of fate. Again, not autobiographical in any way. D on't Tell The Judge I LiedWhen they came to tell me they're gonna take me in I somehow had the sense to flush the evidence before they could begin. They had me dead to rights right there in my own place. I told 'em of my plights with the smile on my face. I looked at them and cried, "Don't tell the judge I lied." While I was in prison pondering my fate I told my cellmate stuff to make me sound more rough, and stopped myself too late. He said he had my back. I saw through that excuse. I knew how he would act to have his time reduced. I said, "I'll have you fried. Don't tell the judge I lied." Trial date is set and I am nervous. Will the truth be told? Some say I am going to prison and return when I'm old. The bailiff shouted, "All rise!" I heard my stomach wrench. There, much to my surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes. My dad sat on the bench. My dad, he knew my moves since back when I's a kid. My case I knew I'd lose cuz he'd know what I did. It cannot be denied. The judge is gonna know I lied. Hi, Marty. Great title. And the song doesn't disappoint. The backing track does what it needs to do: stays out of the way so you can sing and Dave can solo. IANAL, but you should be able to have a retrial, since your Dad should have recused himself because he's related to you.  Fun tune!

A simple twist of fate indeed. Fun song! Great vocals and lead guitar...you guys were both in great voice. Oh, nice bass, too (of course). Funny how the blues can be so familiar but sound so fresh in the right hands. Great job!

As the song developed and it came to the punch line, the same thing occurred to me. I have another song in the works where the premise just doesn't fit the conclusion. Stay tuned. Marty, As always, an interesting story you tell. It seems like you've had quite an interesting life so far  I enjoyed listen, you and Dave are always worth taking the time to listen to. The vocals could have a dB or three more, but that's my only nit. Well done!

Howdy Marty.... I dig this one. I like the bluesy arrangement and it kept me engaged. Cool original topic to write about with good lyrics and good vox throughout. (I wrote one with similar subject matter ("It's About Time") and having to face the consequences....my antagonist is still in the pokey  ) Hope all is well.

I listend to your song on YT, but here I would like to say as well that you made a good song (again).
A very good rhythm and funny, but cleverly crafted lyrics.
I am amazed about the speed you're making your songs. Where I need a month (at least) to accomplish one song, you only need a few days!!!
At home I already called you the song machine, but perhaps the "hit" machine would be more appropriate?
I think you have a troubled relation with your dad... Can I help you on that?
And where was your mom? She always believe in her son, doesn't she? Or do you have brothers too?

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track.
