James, nice soaring tune you put together there! Like all the interesting harmonic twists you put on the melody. Flutes sound nice. Can see from the credits they are samples. Did you play them on keyboard or some other way? Not sure exactly where you're trying to get back to musically, but sounds like you're in a good place right now to me. smile

Gentle and soothing. When it began it sounded like the intro to the ancient classic "Daisy Bell".

James,

Beautiful... One of your best compositions. I love the flutes - they almost have a vocal quality.

So nicely done.

DC Ron: thanks so much! I actually wrote the music for the flutes, by hand, in MuseScore 4. I should have stated that!!! Thanks for such nice words, I'm slowly getting back, musically, to where I was smile

WaoBand: I don't know "Daisy Bell", but I'm glad you enjoyed my little effort, anyway!

Bob: very kind of you. I'm so glad you liked it!

AH, James, your muse never leaves you. Beautiful melody and such a well-crafted piece. You obviously have some classical training and, man, can you write. This can be played for many occasions, happy and sad, celebratory and joyous. What a wonderful Delsono treat. Very tasty.

Enjoy whatever happens!

James, This would be perfect for the winter olympics pairs figure skating. Very well composed and the instrument choices were just right, Tom

Hi, James.

The arpeggios sound a bit more like an flute exercise - drudgery! wink - but once it gets past that and into a melody, it's got some lovely bits. smile

That's really cool. The sounds, the melody, the harmony.
As we are very close to classical music, I will remove the drums. For the rest: Great!

Marty: thanks!!! So kind, as always.

Floyd: coming from you, that is such high praise. Thank you!

Tom: yes, this as figure skating music would fit, I think ... why not? I wrote it with a dancing ballet couple in mind, so yes! So glad you liked it!

David Cuny: haha. Aww, I kinda liked those arpeggios! smile But yes ... I'll listen again! You certainly have high standards, and that's a good thing, because it makes me work at what I write, and not "get away" with things wink

Laurent: yes, regarding the removal of drums, it's a thought! I will listen again and see how it sounds, with and without them. Thanks so much for listening and for your kind comments!

James, I find it amusing that you think you have lost your muse!
This is just plain beautiful!
Loved those flutes and they were played perfectly.
Great backing tracks and mix.
IMHO this is your best to date.

Hi James,

I was pleasantly surprised hearing your song with that beautiful flute!
You did a very good job and stayed in the melody (mostly).
But be careful if the tone of the flute becomes too high...
Shrill tones are lurking!

For me Pas de Deux is a very successful, beautiful song!

Thank you, Hans! I genuinely appreciate your honest comments. I will see what I can do with the flute, but, to be honest, I may just leave it "as is", for now. Nevertheless, good point smile - and thanks for listening!

Lovely and works to raise the spirits on a rainy cloudy day.

Great work with the flutes!
We've always appreciated the instrument (from classical to rock) but how you accomplish this is above our music pay grade. smile

Well performed, composed, arranged and mixed indeed.

Enjoyed it!

Thank you, Janice and Bud - far too kind. These things are often like the fabled Emperor's Clothes - there's a certain mystique about how one achieves them, but - in fact - it's incredibly easy to, once one starts to learn how. Nothing special about any of it smile . I'm so glad you liked this little track of mine! smile
