Tons of freeware out there. A lot of it is crapware; some of it isn’t.
As a news item, I rank it right up there with the knowledge that I can get coffee at McDonalds.

Last time I used my Fender twin reverb with the Stratocaster plugged into it and a microphone stuck right up to the amplifier cloth I thought I was sounding pretty good.
Is this here imaginary cloud thing with them cartoon knobs on it going to make it sound better?? I was fixing to run out and get myself a new set of tubes so I need an answer here pretty fast.
Also it's getting bout time for me to change my strings, do you have to change strings when you're using them things they call the real tracks????

Yes recording a guitar that way can sound pretty good.Is this here imaginary cloud thing with them cartoon knobs on it going to make it sound better?? I was fixing to run out and get myself a new set of tubes so I need an answer here pretty fast. Amp sims have come a long way and in fact I use them exclusively when I record. The big advantage is that I can change amps and/or effects anytime. Also it's getting bout time for me to change my strings, do you have to change strings when you're using them things they call the real tracks???? Yes. IIRC you look in BB/RealTracks/guitar_strings you will find RealStrings in any gauge and style you want.
