Now, it's possible I'm falling victim to the same "don't believe everything your read on the internet" thing too. The thing is I will from time to time research something like this just because I'm a curious type and there's several other sites that have tried to find that actual attributable quote from him and they can't. The TV industry quote is supposedly real, it was published in the SF Examiner in 1985. So far I haven't found anybody who can provide a citation for the music industry quote, it just appears as a third hand account like "he famously said" or the like. The lawyers call that hearsay. Does your book provide the actual source like where it was originally published or he said it in some interview with the journalist's name? If so I would like to know what it is.
