I think what is important to understand, is that BiaB doesn't really support any time signature at all. It has that matrix with either 3 or for 'slots' in each cell. Each slot can be a beat, more than one beat, or a fraction of the beat, depending on the style.

I've made one cell two 6/8 bars, a half 6/8 bar, two cut time bars, one cut time bar, 3 fifths of a 5/4 bar followed but the remaining 2 fifths in the next cell, and so on.

Once you get past he each numbered cell must equal one bar of music, it opens up enormous possibilities in BiaB.

Well, all I know is that the playback of these cut time samba grooves is a half beat/full beat early. They play earlier than the visual, and the step-entry method, which I've paid for, is on the beat, but the rhythm section is not.
