When I listen to something, I switch to something else. Come back, it's gone. I can't find it. Why is that?
I thought it was just a change of Track that would make it disappear.
As a result, I now find that when I switch to something else, it also disappears, which is a headache.
Give an example.
For example, I listen to a bass in midi super, and then I go to the styles and I find the style of the bass, and then I go to midi super. It's gone. I can't find it.
The scariest part is. multipicker Library The whole design could easily disappear. Why design it this way?
When we cook, we have the meat ready, I go for the water, and when I come back, the meat is gone? I go looking for meat, and when I come back, there's no water? Is that reasonable?

You make some excellent points, SBM. There should be no reason that a previously selected Bass MIDI Super Track (MST) should become deselected just by then looking at other Styles, especially a Style using the same previously selected MST. +1

I just had the same issue yesterday when working on a song.
This is just another example that the users have to point out every little obvious thing that is expected as a standard in a modern way of working. I don't understand why the software developers or software testers do not discover these things themselves and pont it out and have it fixed before release. Instead we the users have to come back on each obvious detail again and again.
I get the impression that there are no one or very few within the development/testing that takes on the "user perspective" ie using and testing the software from the "workflows" that users are more likely to be using when using BIAB to create or arrange music etc. I got the impression that is more like pure "functional testing" one isolated function after onother rather than testing some of the "workflows" as well. People work in many different ways but there are some "likely workflows" that could be identified for some common tasks as well as some basic concepts.

AFAIK the reason the MST is eliminated is the fact that choosing a style replaces all of the previous instruments.
I would like to augment this suggestion by stating any instrument in the chord track window be locked in placed. It could be an instrument from a style or one selected from the multipicker.

Whenever I get something stuck in the back of my throat, I dislodge it by drinking a beer. It's called the Heineken Maneuver.

+1 This is a good example of my Workflow thread and the topic of workflow. There are literally dozens and dozens of these examples. This is what we mean when we say take a year off from adding 50+ new features and "fix BIAB as is". In other words, the so-called 50+ new features are all workflow/bug related.
Studio One (latest version), Win 11 23H2 , i9 -10940X 3.3 GHz, 32GB Mem, a 4K 40" monitor, PreSonus Studio Live III Console as interface/controller. secondarily test on Reaper, Cakewalk, and S1 on Surface Pro 3 Win 10 (latest versions).

I certainly would rather see 50 improvements rather than another 50 new features while existing ones don't work properly.

I think I will make another Workflow video as I can easily find dozens of examples where the multi picker tabs are not working together and with the existing tracks in the song. They started to make things more intuitive in 2024 but did not go far enough. However, don't hold your breath because we are starting month 4 of 2024, and they have not started on any improvement suggestions yet.
Not to hijack this thread I will create a new one, as I see there's several people making several comments all about the multi picker usability.

MTP, Track View, Near instant generations, All Tracks are equal... We got most needed "features" in place, but they all need improvements. Either something small, or not so small...
Without solid & intuitive workflow features will not be discovered or/and used.

Not to hijack this thread I will create a new one, as I see there's several people making several comments all about the multi picker usability. I am attempting to create this video today looking at least a dozen scenarios of interacting between the tabs and the tracks that are on the song and unfortunately, I've exposed at least a half a dozen scenario-based bugs. This complicates the suggestions.

I did not cover things that you or others have already pointed out but there's 9 issues and 4 bugs in this 23- minute session with the Multi Picker.
