Phew! This song is incredible chord structure-wise, excellently sampled tracking, arrangement and mix, plus it has the flow and vibe I can see other artists wanting to cover. It's great as it is, but it has even greater potential. It's simply musically excellent.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#17: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#69: Bring consciousness to it.
#74: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#105: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

Ron,

Thanks so much. That's very kind.

The main vocal is only supported with Waves Harmony on the choruses. The rest of the processing is just various "vintage" settings within Ozone.

This sounds like an old classic song that has been around for decades.
Excellent poetry, I really like the chorus part, so much in so few lines.
The arrangement sounds very pleasant, strings and and percussions create a very unique mood around the story.
The chord progression goes bit to new directions, I really like how you can create fresh sounding songs without losing your distinctive style.
And your vocal is really expressive.

Janne

Hi Bob,

Beautiful lyrics and we like the structure of the music.
You also sing it very sensitively, dreamy.
Well done!

SO beautiful! The strings entry took me a little by surprise - I wasn't expecting that richness of sound; and it was, therefore, a really nice surprise, too. You are an old-style maestro of music, and boy it shows. STUNNING writing; superb, just superb arrangement; and the lyrics, as the others have said: pure poetry.

These songs are world-class, and I'm not exaggerating. Why aren't they on the radio? They blooming well should be. I don't know who to compare you to, because I'm an eighties child, and much of the good music that went global was written before my time smile - but I can somehow hear some David Bowie in there. But this is YOU, no-one else. Really, really beautiful, evocative song.

Respect.

“I sent you a message
Came across all the wires
I hope that you read it
Before it expires”
Well that got us from the get go.

Yeah! We feel like we’re floating in the air while listening. The mallets and cajon give the song a feeling of movement that supports the lyric.

Great write, vocals, band and mix. Oh, also great cover art.

Janice commented that your vocal sounds so soothing in this song.
We’re both feeling a pleasant nostalgia for the day now so thank you, Bob.
