The melody, progression, lyrics and delivery as so strong the backing could be flipped from opo to power pop and drop in on honky tonk to prove a point.
I dig the arrangement as it stands. Thanks, ray.... Floyd, great vibe, vocals, melody line, rhyming scheme, etc. (i.e., your typical pro write)! I did not expect it - and was happy not to see 'in a double bed' - following your hook!
