Two weeks ago Alan David posted an instrumental. He mentioned that he was having trouble

coming up with a lyric. As I listened I immediately had the chorus. He agreed to let me in on this

one. I hope you like it, Tom. (Al’s track is untouched except for the added intro, tag and nylon

guitar edit via volume automation) Thanks Al

Sometimes I Still Think Of You

When I have a moment to myself to think back through all the years

I surrender to my emotions and regret what’s disappeared

When I try to stop from crying and remember how happy we’d been

I look back to that time and in my mind I see your face again

Memories drift by like storm clouds in the sky

I see us standing in the rain

I still feel your breath your arms around my neck

What I wouldn’t give to see you once again

You know I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dying

—— to tell you the truth

Baby—- sometimes I still think of you

I still hear you whisper softly in my ear together we’ll grow old

Then you’d sing me some old love song about heart mind body and soul

There was a night we had a fight not knowing what would lie ahead

We found out that day the things that you say can never be unsaid

Memories drift by like storm clouds in the sky

I see us standing in the rain

I still feel your breath your arms around my neck

What I wouldn’t give to see you once again

You know I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dying

—— to tell you the truth

Baby—- sometimes I still think of you

Nice collab. Sounds good to me. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Hello Tom,

It's been a real pleasure working with you. I couldn't have put the music in better hands. Your life experiences and ability to turn them into a solid lyric shine through. And as always, your vocals and musical choices are excellent. Thank you for giving this song a new life. You did an awesome job!

I really like the pedal steel.

Again, many thanks - you came through in spades. The door is always open if anything else I do inspires a lyric for you.

Take care.

Alan

Tom / Alan,

This is a winning collaboration. Tom's lyric and vocal bring so much to Alan's beautiful instrumental piece. It is completely transformed into a real heartbreaker of a song.

Beautiful mix and production.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and will go back for many more listens.

I first read the subject line to include "A.I. and Tommy" and wondered whether I should be afraid. Ha! Oh...ALAN and Tommy. Well, THAT's not scary at all. Well, scary GOOD maybe. smile

Great job you guys! Just an achingly beautiful tune. Sounds just as good as I would expect from the two of you. And yes, that steel is very cool indeed.

Thanks Herb. We appreciate you making it to the end. Sometimes that’s hard to do on super slow songs.

Oh, what a treat!! Yes, really good lyrics fit so well, and I really dig Alan's song with the Tommy Adams cherry on top. What a great way to collab, Tom. Alan, I bet you were quite thrilled with the offer and the results. You guys should definitely do more.

Enjoy whatever happens!

When I saw that this was a Tom and Alan collab I knew it was going to be great!
Tom, you have really done Alan's beautiful song justice here! You have such a great voice for these slower country ballads and man did you ever hit the mark here!
I am sure that Alan is on cloud 9 over this one! I respect both of you guys so much!
Take care, TB

Bob,

I doubt anyone else could have done a better job putting a vocal and lyric to this than Tom. I'm very happy with what he did! he ain't too shabby!

Hi Ron,

Tom is so good with this style of music. I couldn't be happier with his work on this. He gave it a parallel life that really shines! Any song is good in Tom's hands!

Hi Marty,

Was I thrilled? You bet I was! Tom is just so good at what he does. I'm open to more collabs with him, if anything I post interests him.

My word. Superb. The lyrics are incredible, as is your voice, Tom - AND, certainly not least, Alan's backing track. What a collaboration. Two superb artists working together - and what a result. More, please. Congratulations.

This is a great one you guys. As soon as I saw your names together on the same song I knew I was in for a winner - and you didn't disappoint in the slightest. The melody was a great start and the added lyrics work very well with it - I particularly liked that first verse and chorus. The nylon stringed guitar and steel were great additions and tastefully done. A+ gentlemen!

The song doesn't sound at all like something that originally had no lyrics. Perfect match.
You two should collab more often.
2 thumbs up!

Hi, Tommy.

This track is easy on the ears, with solid lyric and some lovely inner rhymes.

Nice! laugh
