This song is a Single Heart number...featuring my buddy Bob Huston singing the lead vox joined by Gene and me...I would call it folk/gospel...it was originally record in the year 2000 (from our "On the Road" album)...I added the BiaB tracks here lately...so if you choose to listen I hope you enjoy it...Dan

Beautiful...

The vocals are superb. Love the mix - very rich and full.

Nice job resurrecting this one.

Dan,

A nice backing. The Vocals and Harmonies are the real star, though.
Beautiful.

Wow, beautiful. Lyrics, Melody, Vocals, Harmonies, subject. Production is spot on . That acoustic guitar sounds fantastic. The CSNY harmonies are great.

Hi Dan,

You have an endless stash of gorgeous music somewhere. Hope you don't run out of these wonderful songs. This is so good! Wghat a treat to my ears.

Love the change in tracks just after the 3:00 mark - just vocals, drums, and claps.

BTW, which are you in the Soundclick graphic?

Wishing you the very best,

Alan

You have some really cool stuff. I always look forward to hearing what you have in store in each new song.

Yep, that is classic Southern Gospel. Really well done harmony.

I enjoyed it.

Hi, Dan.

As always, vocals and gorgeous harmonies are the centerpiece.

The only complaint I have - and it's a very minor one that I'm sure others will disagree with - is the reverb seems a bit much for this setting.

Have you looked at Waves' Clarity Vx DeReverb? I don't know how well it would work on harmonies, but you can try it free. Even if it doesn't take all the reverb out, it might help vocals recorded in one environment sit better in another.

Anyway, lovely song! laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

David...thanks for your thoughts...yep all of my old tracks are loaded with reverb (because of limited tracks back then) it's permanent on the tracks I'm working with in restoration projects...I do have Waves' Clarity Vx DeReverb and have applied a bit to these vocals (not enough it seems) but when you use it too much it begins to distort the harmonies....it works great on solo stuff but multi-voice stuff is a whole different animal when it comes to reverb removal and pitch correction...I always appreciate your "ear" and the comments that help out so much...Dan

Dan, wow! Another great song with a killer vocal track. Really love your vocal arrangements and how they develop throughout each song. The band does a nice job providing essential support while staying out of the way. That being said, the guitar intro was really nice. Enjoyed it tremendously!

Man, I would sit a watch with mouth open in awe at one of your shows, Dan. I know this because my mouth is open in awe as I listen. Not only do you have the singers in one venue, but you provide them with such outstanding compositions. Two words can describe the experience: uplifting and inspirational. You not only tell about the city, but give us directions to find it.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Dan,

I can't match the way Marty expresses his compliments to you, but I fully agree with them, except that 'mouth' thing.
The vocals are very well done! A pleasure listening to. The song/melody sounds a little familiar to me, but I can't remember from who and where.
I think it was something in Dutch, so it must have been another song then ;-).
Very well done!
