Also really like the BGVs.
Great job Marty.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Let’s all get in the van (or ask Scotty) and go to that place now!

We love the uplifting message and your joyful vocal performance makes us believers in the possibility.
Janice said she could picture all of us together, standing shoulder to shoulder, singing the outro.

Excellent video.

Dave’s guitar is perfect as are those bass lines.

Nice mix also.

Peace!

Hi, Marty.

I was just thinking how glad I don't have to mix down drum tracks, and I see you've got 12 stems to deal with here.

Yow!

I was thinking as I listened "There's no chorus in this song", and then the guitar solo comes in. So I figure, "OK, he's substituted a guitar solo for a chorus" and then you go and fool with a huge chorus at the end. Ha! laugh

Nice work, both by you and Dave. But that comes as a surprise to no one. wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks, J&B. That's the way I pictured the end --with all of us singing it until it happened.

Thanks, David. I really enjoy you telling me how you experrienced the song. Right!? You nailed it, sir. I couldn't fit the chorus in the song (sonically), so used it as the anthem outro --which, by the way, was supposed to fade, but I like the last sustain chord, so...

Very good band, solo and vocals, Marty!

I really like how the song develops. Especially those background vocals.
As always, the solo is played so well by Dave. He and you are a very good team.
I heard it some days ago on YouTube, but I almost sang along now; "somewhere in the world"
Still difficult to see where such a place could be...
Not here anyway.

Somehow I missed this one.
You can't beat a song opening with Dave wailing on the gee-tar.
Groovy and funky band. Love that last "world" harmony vocal.
I like the sentiment in this song.
What the heck is "the merl'? Are you being Shakespeare? smile

Maybe somewhere in the world there would be a land without need to write this kind of song, but that would be a place I wouldn't like to stay, because I would be missing this innate search. You describe it very beautifully, another positive view with birds up in the clean air.

Enjoyable melody, pleasant band and vocals - the harmonies in the last section sound great! And who could be better to tell about this world with a guitar than master Dave.

Janne

BTW. yes, I'm one of your very happy Spotify followers, should be a fastly growing number if there is any justice somewhere in the world (you don't find my music on Spotify, sorry about that, but maybe some day somewhere in the world when I have nothing else to do...)

Ab Fab Marty. Dave's intro REALLY sets the scene.
The highlights are you & him of course but the band is really well curated.
COOOOL.

Marty,

The people to collaborate with are very important, and I choose them carefully.
Fortunately, I have been able to meet good vocalists, pianists, and lyricists, and have been able to continue creating music.
I'm really grateful to them.
I think you and Dave are really compatible.
It's clear that each piece is the work of two people who truly understand each other.
This work is no exception.
The teamwork between the two is amazing.
Also, as always, the video is great.
Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks, Scott. Yeah, it was supposed to be a fade, but I like how that last harmony chord sounded. The merl is a bird --in the song to hint at the idea that God takes care of the birds, so... The important part is that it rhymed with world.

Ah, The innate search, The Holy Grail, Eden. Just a dangleing carrot I suppose. Janne, I'm thrilled that you take the time to listen. Yeah, that kind of justice requires promo funding, so I'm out. This way I can say I know each and every one of my followers. wink

Excellent intro Dave. Loved the vocal and lyric Marty. Cool message in the lyrics. Daves guitar and the bass lines gave the song such cool vibe. Well done
