Clipping is not the issue, for sure, no doubt. I know how to manage gain staging Mac. In fact by default, RT volumes are plenty conservative enough. And within my daw, I know how to gain stage properly. That's a novice issue and for the record, I'm not a novice. No offense taken.  The instruments sound fine in RB and those tracks are essentially frozen. When they are dropped into reaper, they pick up random clicks on the ONES in spots. I know the difference between random and on the ones. This is on the ones. I have dealt with it through automation. What I can't deal with is some RT's coming out garbled when dropped into my daw. That one has to be dealt with at the source. What I will try next is two things- consolidate file and/or render to wav file instead of dropping into reaper. This should confirm if anything is wacky with drag and drop. Dan
