Well now that I've been a little snappy let me explain how it works.
If you choose a RT that is 140 BPM and stick it in a song that is 130 or 150 BPM the RT will stretch or compress to fit the BPM BUT will play the complete phrase in one measure as it would at 140BPM. If you take a RT at 140BPM and utilize the double time feature and use it on a song at 70BPM there is NO stretching or compressing going on. Instead the phrase is laid out over the course of TWO measures thus it takes DOUBLE THE TIME TO PLAY the phrase that was intended to play over ONE measure.
